Happy Belated Valentines Day

To all my fans out there, I want to appologize for not wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day sooner. My mommy has been hogging the computer for weeks, oooo one of these days I shall get my own computer!!

My grandma in Dallas sent me this cool card that has my favorite friend, Elmo on it. I played with him for a LONG time. La la la la, la la la la, Elmo's World!! Oh man, that Cat cracks me UP!

Thanks again grandma!! I love you too! And once my mom lets me use crayons - why don't they taste better?! - I will make you a card as well!

We're Going to the Zoo Zoo Zoo

Lions and tigers and bears! Oh my! Well, the bears weren't out, HUGE disappointment as one does expect a certain level of animals when visiting the zoo, bears and penguins being high on the list. There were a bunch of big cats, and since this was the Austin zoo and smaller than others, you could get right up on them. Really neat! Oliver pointed and said, "kitty!" Apparently, size is no object for that boy's love of all things feline. I forsee his wife having to invest in a Catwoman mask at some time...

We also learned that everything black and white are not "moos" or cows. Some are goats, some are pigs and some are zebras. Oliver did say "goat" for the first time...or he was asking us to GOoooo because the goats smelled terrible. Side note: how can anyone like goat cheese? It smells and tastes like goat in the worst way.

We went to the zoo with our good friend Summer (of the amazing Summer Miles Photography) and her beautiful and sweetly tempered baby son, Cade. I am a slacker mom and forgot my camera on one of the most important firsts of my child's life, but Summer brought hers, so I will post when she sends them to me (hint hint Summer!). Of course, of all the animals we saw, of all the wonders of the world that we were witness to, wide eyed lemurs and roaring tigers - and they DID roar - my son found his favorite exhibit.

The Coke machines.

Something is....different

From the desk of Sir Oliver Goss:

There is someone else in my house. I haven't found them yet, but I know they are there. I looked under my bed, all I found was a sneeze. I looked in my closet, and got distracted for a while looking through all my old toys, but no person. I looked in the Forbidden Room and all I found was an angry daddy. I looked on the stairs, but all I found was an angry mommy. I looked in the kitchen and all I found was a hungry Dante. I looked outside and all I found was a tiny delicious bug.

I do not know where this person is hiding, but I know they are there. I feel it the most when I am sitting in my mommy's lap. I feel someone else besides me there. It is like when she is holding Grandmommy's new puppy with me, but the puppy isn't there. I think Mommy and Daddy are starting to realize we have someone living with us too because they talk about things in whispers so that it doesn't hear. I think the someone is feeding my mommy bad foods because she is getting fat and sometimes she tells daddy her tummy doesn't feel well.

This is a mystery folks! Stay tuned! I will get to the bottom of it or my name isn't Oliver.

Two Sticks, One Cup

I took a test (four) and it (they) came up positive! Yup folks, Oliver is gonna have a little baby sibling (it better be a girl)! I am thrilled (scared out of my mind) and so is CT (whistling all day). We weren't trying (preventing like catholic teenagers) so the line that appeared this morning at 5am (thanks Ollie) came as quite a shock. I believe I paced the floor of the living room alone (with a whiney sleepy toddler) for the better part of an hour. I have never hated my online friends more for sleeping through my drama.

What a change of life we are about to experience!! (We will never leave the house again)

Thank you Gourmet!

Wow, you mean, a real, mainstream, magazine can talk about how breastfeeding is superior!? Shhhh! Don't tell anyone, what would Parenting say?!
